Access and FAQ

The gateway is early infrastructure, built for AskShiva’s own products first. Outside teams can use it by invitation.

By invitation

There is no public sign-up and no self-serve key. To ask for access, tell us what your app does, what kind of data it would send and roughly how much traffic you expect.

Contact us via askshiva.inEmail divyaprakash@askshiva.ai

Please do not send personal data, keys or code in a first message. We will reply with next steps.

What an invitation includes

  • The base URL, which we do not publish.
  • A virtual key for your app, delivered privately.
  • Your model list, set from the data class of what you send.
  • Your budget and rate limits, and the names of the diagnostic response headers.

Questions

Can I buy this?
No. It is not for sale and has no price list. Access is by invitation.
Is it OpenAI-compatible?
Yes, for the routes on the endpoints page. Point an OpenAI SDK at your base URL and key, and use an alias as the model name.
Which models are behind the aliases?
We do not publish that. Models behind an alias change as we test faster or cheaper options; the alias stays the same.
Where does it run?
On rented servers in the USA. Model providers process requests under their own terms. See data classes.
Does it store my prompts?
The spend ledger is configured not to store prompts or responses. It records the key, model, token counts and cost of each call. If you opt in to the cache, identical requests are kept for about an hour.
Can I call it from a browser or a mobile app?
No. Call it from your backend. A key in client code can be copied and spent by anyone.
Does it handle Indian languages?
askshiva-indic is the alias for Indian-language text for adults, for example Hindi. We have not published a tested list of languages, so test yours first.
Can I send children’s data?
Only with a children’s key, which can call nothing but the children’s aliases. Talk to us first; check your own legal obligations, as nothing here is legal advice.
Is there an uptime promise?
No. There is no service-level agreement. Keep a fallback in your app, and see the live status below.
What does “early access” mean here?
It runs with real traffic from our own products, it changes often, and limits are kept low. Expect changes with short notice.

Read when the page loads, from the AskShiva status service. If the service cannot be reached the health shows “Unknown”. A health check only shows whether the gateway answers; it says nothing about any one model.
